Ok,
You guys with an SOA like I am stting up, I need to be able to tell Jesse how much slip I will need for my shafts.

Here are the specs again:

SOA w/reversed FJ-40 springs Front and FJ-55 springs in the rear.

2" over stock shackle in the front and 3" over in the rear with the origional shackle hanger location.

D60/9" hybrid front....RC D60 rear.

Rancho 9012's w ford shock towers front
9012's top inboard touching and bottom mounted on axle tube.

1310 Non-CV front
1310 CV rear

What do I need?

Stock slip has worked fine with my current SUA setup, so I have no clue. I see all the Mini guys with these HUGE slip yokes and I am at a loss what I will need.

TIA

u cant tell him how much till you have a mesurement for him and he will pretty much know what to make for u. long travel front and youll be fine and for the rear he will know of you can go long travel rear too and never have to worry! hes the man and will know. just do everything first then take the measurments and get hooked up! jiMMy

I have flipped springs front and rear. The stock slip in the rear works fine, but I also have the schackle reversal in the front there is tons of slip in the front but I have a square d shaft so no matters. The rear dosent actually use that much slip and my rear flexs really well I think. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

The only critical item is the front shackle reversal.

Rear will be fine with a "standard" 6" slip.

Front will be fine with a "standard" 6" slip if you did NOT do the shackle reversal.

If you DID do the front reversal, then you'll likely need the 11" travel option. Mine USES between 6-7" at full stroke...and you want a 1" up travel cushion to save your TC inputs and a 2"+ down travel cushion to avoid spline twisting.

I took a tape to mine when I got my Tom Woods front shaft. Measured resting height. Estimated ~1" compression since the springs were nearly flat and would would arc back only minimally. Put the high lift on the front bumper until my original stock shaft dropped on the floor and kept going until the tires hung. Took that measurement...and then looked and realized that each half of the shaft was about 3" from touching!!!

I run a POS 4" slip stock shaft in the rear that's desparate for a replacement and a CV...gonna either modify a CV shaft off the Toy pickup I'm buying Monday or starting selling blood to re-up my yearly fund limits (and then call Jesse!)

Yeah
Jesse rocks...

I am into him for about $700 now for driveshafts!

Hopefully he can modify what I have to make it work and save me some $$$.

I am the master and spending $$ then trashing the modification.

nolen , you need to cycle the suspension to get an accurate measurement . you need to measure it fully compressed then fully extended there is your slip length ..

nolan it will be a 1350 c/v and so far its held to all my customer 165 so far- there is a limit on everything but hey- anyways on the atlas lll it is just a 32 spline front and the 1410 yokes Non -C/v are easy and cheep afermarket upgrades but we may want to do a 1350 c/v on the back line - send the toy-flange i made toy and we will upgrade it so you can bolt the 1350 c/v to it- its an easy way to save money on that part we already got ya- and i'd go with a 3" compression and 9" extention front - hope this helps -Jess
