well i totaled my 85 yota on the 25th

the body is done for but the fuel injected motor only had 96000 orginal miles, and the tranny was an auto, the transfer case worked, and the axles are good.

How much should i sell this for, someone is wanting to buy it but i dont know waht a good value for this would be.

thanks cat

I tried to sell my totaled 89 runner(bent frame) and didnt get offered s$!t for it. If I was you Id buy a new yota and use the 85 as a parts truck. I bought an '80 pickup and it is recieving the entire guts of my runner plus a lot lot more. Otherwise Id say if your trying to get any cash out of it strip all the goods off of it and hock the chassis and try to sell off all the parts. People dont want to pay crap for a busted ass toyota

I would keep it for a parts truck before I would sell it. If this is not an option I would part it out, you will get way more for it this way that trying to sell the thing whole.

Consider looking for a complete yota that has a good body but a engine that needs to be rebuilt. If your old frame and running gear is still ok then just swap the body. I was able to buy a 87 4runner for $700 with a blown head gasket. I took the body and tranny/xfer case and sold the rest as a rolling chassis + engine for $600. Net was a good body for $100.
