will it work i have a 4.0 6cyl.88'wrangler with np231, what is the best way to do this, or can it or should it be done?

best way would be to use a stock chevy bellhousing for a sm420, and bolt it to a 350

yes it can be done. Yes you should do it.

Advance adaptors sells the correct ones and they are very familiar with the ones you need. If memory serves they cost like 400 or so. But I might be wrong on the price.

for teh price of adapters you're better off picking up a chevy 350 and dana 205 that are direct bolt-up's

An NP 205 is NOT a direct bolt up to an SM420, in fact pretty much ANY case will have to be adapted to an sm420. Besides, although its bulletproof, it has a lousy lousy low gear.

I CALLED AA AND THEY WANT OVER $700.00 FOR ADAPTORS SO IS IT WORTH IT? OR DO I WAIT AND GET A NV4500 (WAIT LIKE A YEAR) I SAW A S10 BELL HOUSING WILL WORK FOR THE 4CYL, BUT NOTHING SO FAR FOR THE 6CYL.
