I didn't do this and can take zero credit. This is a fall/winter project of my long time and very good friend Frank. I let him get just about finished before I put this post up, so I wouldn't forget to update it.

The idea was to build a light weight (lbs and $$) bumper pull camper for his brother (Chris). The tow rig is an older nissan pathfinder, and the new lightweight campers are complete budget busters.

The full gallery of pics is here.. Currently there are a few shy of 1000 pics, so make sure you have a good connection and a cold beer.

Edit: pics are mostly in chronological order

First the organ donor. It took a long time to find a big enough pop-up that had a decent set of appliances for the project. I believe it took close to a year before they found actually got one.

Frame stripped.

Lifted the trailer a bit to allow a bigger wheel / tire combo.

We also boxed the frame and did some minor gusseting to take the extra weight.

Time for the roof. The best way we could figure to cut the bows was to use a straight router on jig. Frank made the jig out of scrap mdf.

A little sanding

installed.

Between Philly and Indania we couldn't find white paneling for the celing, Chris decided to use the same as on the walls.
