Get out the torch if you're such a fawking tough guy!

If you are not satisfied with the solutions that other people have come up with, step up to the plate, and come up with a new one! You ask for help, and then bag on every answer people give you, very weak!

I'm not (bagging) on anyones solution or design. I just don't like it for my application. Yes I have my own design, but I real didn't want to do that much work.

I've found on this board, unless you stir-up the pot you get very little replies. I've posted several times (nicely) asking, with little or no responds. NOW look over 21 replies with several ideas and some carp. But several ideas none the less.

Thank you all for participating

okay I am over it now for a newbie..scratch that..individual asking for advice, you sure know how to keep people from responding. If what we have to offer does not suit your needs then say "thanks anyway" or "well you guys tried", but with your attitude I sure as hell will see your next post and say Why bother, you would not take our advice anyway. Seek elsewhere if you want but know this, most of the "best" ideas come from here. So that said Newbie

One more thing, I have a 2nd Generation runner and am lifting my tank. but guess what, my design my secret at least from you

First of all, you did bag on someones solution, because someone who did basically what you want to do took the time and effort to take pictures and post step by step what he did, and you said it was . Very blatant and arrogant if you ask me. Second, when you say 'that's too much work,' it just makes you sound like an ass. Sorry, but when you go on a board where people are designing their own suspensions and building tube frame rock buggy's, talk of moving your gas tank seem very humble in comparison. Go to JU.

No, the guy here at the drivetrain shop wants to do it for me as it would be good for his business too. He just has trouble finding time these days. But I hope to have done soon. We'll see. Getting ready to paint the truck for now.

Well, I put one up on a hoist last night and took a look. What I would do is just cut that corner off of the fuel tank. You would only loose a couple of quarts capacity. Move the front to the top of the horse collar, cut and weld the rear mount. I personally dont think it is woth the trouble, seeing that the lower arm mounts and the trans crossmember are lower than the tank. A4 in. suspension lift would do a much better job.
Just my $.02
