How do you remove the pinion from the 3rd member in a dana 44 front axle on a 1990 fullsize bronco? We got the ring and carrier out no problem, but the pinion won't budge. Is there a snap ring or something that we are missing?

I think you have your terminology screwed up. Are you talking about the pinion GEAR? Pull the yoke. and tap it out with a rubber mallot.
