Holy Sheot, is it twitchy. I just finished full hydro steer on my rig, and damnear got tossed out the door. Is full hydro steer just a twitchy s.o.b. or is there something I can do to slow it down.
It is on a 60" wms axle with 37x 14.5 tires, I am using the stock Chevy power steering pump (out of a '90 pick up and no mods to the valving) a toyota fork lift orbital motor, and a ram that has an 8" stroke 2" cylinder and a 1" shaft.
Is there anything that I can do, or do I just have to learn to live with it.

About five and a half turns, wich seems ok to me. I should have mentioned that my trailer tires are on the rig right now, and are only 31" tires, would this make that big of a difference in the twitch?

what kinda of rig are you saying when you drive it it is twitchy or the steering is twitchy when sitting still

5 1/2 turns? Dear God! That's gotta be like driving a river barge down the street. I wouldn't think it would be "twitchy" with that many turns lock-to-lock.

Edit: I just remebered that driving my dad's Land Cruiser is twitchy because the caster and camber are off, so when I steer away from center it jerks hard, but after gets less twitchy.

It seems more like its sticky , you know it just all of a sudden turns after you start turning the wheel, I dont think its caster camber, because it handled fine with the stock steering. Maybe more toe in would help, but Im not sure if my problem is the hydraulics, or the front end set up.

toe it in a little... my full hydro did the same thing... I toed it in a few degreese and it handles just fine now.

mine seemed kinda twitchy at first too. After a while I found I could drive it down the road with no problems so you may just need to get used to it.
