I am running Rockbuggys hysteer with checvy 1ton TRE's and rancho springs. I just removed the lower leaf to lower the ride height, and install some 6deg shims to bring the pinion up. Now, when I turn the wheel the passengers side TRE nails the spring clamp/spring. Are new Hysteer arms my only choice? Hysteer arm spacers? I am not sure what the ammout of lift they give but they are the run-of-the-mill kit from rockbuggysupply.

I cant, thats why I droped the spring leaf, to bring the pinion angle up, it was fine before with the extra height of the spring and no shim. Without the shim I have about a 2deg pionon angle.

That castor angle isnt too far off from what most toy guys are running with out a problem. Were you getting death wobble or something?

I never took notice to mine but why are the ends going that far in towards the spring? You could adjust your stops in a bit To keep it off the spring.

2 deg pinion angle?? it was bad enough so that guys were noticing it as I drove by! It also looked like it was putting a TON of extra strain on the Ujoint. Yea I was thinking of adjusting the stearing stops, but I only get baout 1.5 turns outa the wheel before it hits the spring clamp. I also didnt have any bumpsteer/deathwobble. I got an anlighnment and cured that, but It still had problems returning to straight quickly.

theres a thread with the pics might help....

whats your drop hanger.? you have to get rid of the shims so more drop hanger or shorter shackle. i have 2.25 drop 2" over shackle and good pinion angle with toy rears. or do dual cases if your not already to get a longer front shaft.

Is it the tie rod end that is connecting the dragink. A standard High steer setup going to the arm instead should fix that. You cant really space the toy arms. A drop hanger will take care of alot of problems aswell if you dont have one yet .

Drop hanger is (from memory here) 2.25 over and I have 6in eye to eye shackels. The springs themselves are mounted under the frame with rear mounts.

JW yea its going to the other TRE, the one in the arm has the hole in it, In thinking about it, yea having a '2 holed' arm might work too... SOmebody else also suggested using Heim joints and bolts in the arms themselves insted of TRE's

Shackles are to long. When I first did mine I had 6" shackles, single T-case and my pinion angle sucked and d-shaft had a bind. Cut my shackles to 4 1/2" it moved my pinion up 8-9 degrees and everything hs been fine for over four years. I also do not run degree shims.:D

OOPS how did you mount your springs?? thru the frame or under with the rear mounts? I was thinking about shackel length changing the pinion angle... ill have to take the tape measure to them and check that would be the easiest way to fix it....

if your under the frame with 6" eye to eye shackles you are killing your pinnion angle. shorten those shackles. i am through the frame at 5.5" eye to eye and its great with the same drop hanger. i have dual cases with rears up front and a 5 leaf pack with skys early stage 5 arms with no rise so i can't ever run shims or a 6 leaf pack. try 4.5" eye to eye, thats 1" over stock. or try going through the frame on the shackle mount. and go with 2" over stock or 1.5" over stock shackle.:D i hope that kinda helps

Through the frame, but my spring hanger is an A-P with 1" drop. First thing I would do would be to cut the shackles. I did not believe that removing 1 1/2" from the shackles would give me 8-9 degrees in pinion, but that is what the angle finder said. I have no worries now because I have dual cases!!!!:D
