When I first made my recentered hummer rims I cut the centers out with a torch.. Did I mention that I suck with a Cutting torch?? Add to that I did not have access to a lathe, and frankly, I am too dam lazy to spend time with a 4" grinder cleaning up the booger cuts.. So, they stayed all boogered up for ohhh almost 3 years
I finally punched a hole in one of my Iroks deep enough that it was replaced (4WP is worth something..) and I figured now was as good a time as any to fix the rims..
The extra hole is for a longer bolt to get the rim halfs together to get a nut on the studs.. I see absolutely no reason for it.
And yes, I did it on all 4 rims. One at a time is probably more like me, but I did all of them at once.
And, Managed to lose teh 4th O ring so that tire/rim is still in the garage...
BTW, 8 bolt hummer rims use a different O ring than the 12 bolt pieces..
Aww honey, you always make me feel so good withyour pillow talk.
