I got a question. I have a 95 yj 2.5L 5 speed. I live in the lovely land of PA and had to get a smog test for my inspection. I tried once and it would not pass, so I went and bought TB cleaner and sprayed the crap out of it. I went back and it passed but now I idle at about 1200 rpm. before I sprayed it I was at about 600 rpm. As far as I know I did not do nothing else but spray the TB. any way to slow the idle back down?

The TB cleaner is probably the cause of it. Usually those type of cleaners are extremely flammable so until all of it burns out of the system the idle will be high. That and the computer probably adjusted the air/fuel mix to cope with all the added cleaner and until the computer changes the settings back to normal it will idle high. Just give it some time and it should come back down to normal.

What??????? If it's extremely flammable it will be gone in less that a second!

You most likly washed some crud into the IAC valve and it can't seal, so the idle will be high. Remove the IAC valve and clean it and it's seat.

Um I don't know what is an IAC valve and where is it? Thanks
I don't think that the idle is going to drop on it's own cause it has been about 3 weeks now. That is what I was waiting for was it to drop on it's own but I don't see that happening.
