Took the old speedo thread portion off, cut it and drilled and tapped to for a plug.

Got the trans and tcase all bolted up together.

Took some measurements for the modifications needed on the aluminum gas tank I bought. I suspected we'd have issues with it considering my scout is far from stock.
Took it to a local shop and gave him the measurements to start cutting.

A few weeks later and it was all welded up.

Put it underneath and had to clearance the rear frame cross brace, and cut off the front gas tank strap support member.

Should have plenty of clearance for up travel now. I figured I lost about 1 gallon of capacity. Not too terrible.

More work getting done between life events... hoping to have it all "done" by next spring. Engine installed, coil overs in rear, tire carrier, new center console and all wired, done!🤞

Cycling the front suspension up and down to check for clearance and full bump with the oil pain and 4-links. Going to have to make some slight adjustments with the top axle links.

Got the new gas tank all wired and plumbed to the corvette fuel regulator and installed.

Thank you!

We got some more work done on the front end this weekend.

Swapped out the OEM dana 60 inner shafts for some chromoly shafts and installed the CTM u-joints.

Cycled through the front suspension and relocated the top mounts to clear at full bump.

Scouttanks and I were able to mock up the front end with full bump and full droop after moving the top link mounts to clear the oil pan of the 6.0l. Got the bump stops in place and welded up.
