Is there any issue with switching the inlet with the outlet? When I put my radiator in my bed naturally I turned around to the inlet and outlet face the engine - with it like this unless I cross the hoses (rather not) then the inlet and outlet are now switched..

I have been running it but not for real long yet. All the hoses are warm so I take it the water is circulating still so any issue with having the hose from the upper neck going to the bottom of the rad and the hose from the water pump going to the top of the radiator?

The hoses are routed that way for a reason. Your cooling system draws from the bottom of the radiator to prevent sucking any air into the engine.

should you always have your engine taking in water from the bottom of the radiator? I ask because My LT1 has a revers flow pump on it and I had it pushing water in the bottom and taking it in the top for 2 yrs and never had a heating problem, did i just get lucky? I ask because I just ordered a Ron Davis radiator.

Jimmy, yours was designed that way.

Brandon, didn't you mount your radiator flat under the bed? If you did there is no real difference.

You just got lucky Jimmy. Actually hooking it up wrong should work fine if the radiator stays completely full. having it suck from the bottom just gives you a little more tolerance for forgetting to maintain your shit.

slanted but not flat. As far as that rad, mine is reverse too but I think that just means the belt turns the opposite direction, still pumps water the same direction..

Hey Brandon did you make up that mounting bracket or is that pulled from something else? I'm going to have to do the same thing really soon. Hopefully this weekend so I want to get the stuff together before hand.

Because I do not have a lower or upper radiator hose like normal(they both come out the H2o pumo in the same spot) if I ordered a radiator that wil make the engine take frome the bottom like normal will i have heating issues? I was told making it push the water up the rad and out the top it had longer to cool, will I loose effinency?sp

I'm asking because I orderd the radfiator and did not have them build it special.

hmm interesting, I just thought you meant the belt turned differently..

What is the latest on your creation jimmy?

have to do somemore welding and cutting(hehe)just to trim the rear fenders, and drop in the fuel cell, build the front fenders. I am debating on powder coatint the frame. What do you think? Bob thinks I should powder coat everything Frame, links, cage? what do you think? I thought doing the frame would be good but the links and cage are gonna get rock rash, if thoase are spray can they are easily fixed. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Nice, so the fan is between the cab and radiator right (the two pics are different)? So I take it you're running it push, right? Did you consider running a shroud or was there not enough room? And, last question do you have pics of the build up somewhere on the net? I'd love to see how someone else did things the PO just Mickey Moused the shit out of mine <IMG SRC="smilies/smokin.gif" border="0">, I already looked at MilitaryYota's website.
