Just farting around here, looking at some goofy idea's....

For the extreme Yota fan who is after a really low center of gravity, I bring you the 2TZ-FZE. 2.4L 16V dohc supercharged intercooled, stock output 161HP & 201 lb/ft @ a measly 4 - 5 psi. It's an inline 4 that lays flat on it's side to give the Previa Mini Van plenty of interior room. It is quite a wierd system which also includes what Toyota calls an 'Equipment Drive Shaft'. This is a driveshaft that mounts to the crankshaft pulley and drives several items forward of the engine, the super charger and such. Could be a neat PTO drive of sorts.

It does come connected to an A340F transmission in the AWD version. Could make for a interesting swap into a Buggy, or maybe even a very modded truck/4-Runner.

Hmmmmmm....

Seems that way.

Specs for the 2WD taco motor:
2.4-liter DOHC
EFI 4-cylinder
142 hp @ 5,000 rpm
160 lb.-ft. @ 4,000 rpm

...But the Taco motor is NA. A factory supercharged version opens up some... interesting... possibilities. :D

A picture from the manual is the best I can do.

Flop a 4 cylinder on it's side, lop off the oil pan and place it on the bottom (was the side)... long runner intake over the top, a real long tube tri Y header along the bottom. More pics from the manual if you can bare em'.
