BTW - I did a search, I didn't find what I was looking for. :flipoff2:

ok, I'm getting close to the install. My Jeep is 60-90 minutes away from the tcase so I can't easily go measure anything.

I don't have a body lift, don't want one if I can get away with it.

For those that installed them and clocked them flat. how much clearance was needed above the floor pan for it to fit?

I'm going to pull the seats and mount them to the cage. I think that would net about 3-4" of clearance under the seats where I will cut the body out. but, would like to know if that is enough? Or do I need to body lift on top of that.

3-4 inches should get it....maybe a little more. Get out the BFH and start pounding ;)
Hammer out 3-4"? I think after my seats get remounted to the cage, the swazall or fire wrench will come out and cut a hole out of the body. Then just weld in a new floorpan around it. :)

How much do I need to account for the drivetrain moving/rotating? about 1-2"?

1" clear above the t-case should do, unless you use Bigdude mounts, then you should allow for 8 to 10 inches of t-case travel :flipoff2:

If you just plan to cut it out and put in a new piece, then what does it matter? Whats the point of this thread?

well, I've only got so much space under my drivers seat. I don't want it to go up any further, at the same time, I'm 99% sure that part of the cage's tube that holds the seat in will have to go right over the transfer case. (The tcase is right under the drivers seat)

If I need to sure 1.75x.120" to build the frame in for the seats, and I only have maybe 4-6" (again haven't been able to measure) from the floorpan to the bottom of the seat. Things could be getting real tight.

Quit whining!!! Try fitting a ranger overdrive to a 420 to a 203 doubler and see where your atlas ends up. I might as well build a whole new body tub. BFH my ass!!!:flipoff2:
