So, in this video, and Man explains how he stopped a travel management plan. I've been meaning to reach out to him for an Article, but though I would run this by you all first.

Is this a thing?

I know this guy personally. Yes, it worked. Yes, look at their budgets and dissect the hell out of these agencies budgets and they sure don't like it. I take it you subscribe to Jeep Momma.

What is it that you are wanting, specifically? I KNOW he's busy working with many other entities right now as we speak on land use closures. Additionally, are you familiar with the American Mining Rights Association? They ARE very active in land access also. They are getting onboard. AMRA is the ONLY pro-land use association I contribute to. These "other" 4x4 land use Orgs is so disappointing to me, I ignore them.

Basically Rick doesn't work on a compromise. It's fight and nothing is to be given up, because as you know, the communists come back later and take some more. He was a Newspaper Editor and a reporter. He knows how to dig and get the dirt.

He investigated the last attempt to steal trails in Mohave county and went out and documented the trails they said were to be left open for 4x4 use. Those trails were LONG gone. Absolutely unusable, many were not even able to be used as a single track. So in theory, the proposed trails closures would have resulted in a hell off a lot more miles of trails closed because of the "open" trails actually were not open. He proved the plan was a sham as they did NOT go out and look at the trails. They probably used their old maps and google earth at best to decide which trails were to be closed. Obviously there is a lot more to it than I put out here.

I want to know more about the budget piece. How to ask, what to ask for....specifically. Is is a FOIA Request and if so, how to word the request to make them pee their pants the moment they read it.

Of course...they have been heavily utilized and supported in the Tahoe and Eldorado NF travel management plans.

Agreed. Live and learn, Right?

That's how we started, but were told that we were doing it wrong. Some listened and some didn't Those of us who didn't Sued the Tahoe National Forest all the way to the 9th circuit.

Our issue became Sierra Pacific Industries. That's another story.

We did this, and it bit us in the ass. Since then, I recommend that you do get out and map every trail, and DON'T share it with the Forest Service/BLM.

I listened to the video and took notes. We hit everything he bullet pointed and more. But what we didn't do was the budget. We talked about it....but didn't follow through.

Yeah thats Ric

I know Ric Swats. He's a good man with a lot of heart.

We have been working with him and others to achieve some results with the Forest Service. The FS is currently proposing over 3000 miles of trails in the Tonto NF Apachie Sitgreaves NF and Coconino NF.

BLM got DEREGULATED. The rule that allowed BLM to close trails is removed "as if it had never taken effect." That's right read that again. IN OTHER WORDS, EVERY trail that was closed by BLM is now REOPENED ACROSS AMERICA!!!:flipoff2:

The Congressional Review Act Killed it! Read my story about it below.
