In this YouTube video, the builder modified a 14" abrasive cut-off saw to shave a 14-bolt. Is this a good way to do it?

I used a skill saw with an abrasive blade. You can set the fence to the correct angle and it gets most of the way through. Worked great, the above would work even better.

I used an actually metal cutting saw for one. Worked great.

This is the process Ballistic recommends doing it. The person in this video has another where he made the custom brackets holding the housing.
