Anyone help with this? I want to pull out the Jetchip from my '91 YJ as i think the ONLY thing it really does is drink more gas (over here gas is $5 a gallon!). I was under the impression that it replaced the OEM chip, but have been told it clips ONTO the OEM chip, and should be easy to remove, leaving the OEM chip behind.

1) Is it just attached to the stock chip?

2) Where is the damn thing, so i can pull it!!

Anyways, Yes if it is the clip on to oem style when just remove it and it should be back to normal...
Dude you didnt help either! He wants to know where it is and how to remove it. So maybe contact the people who make it would be a good place to start as they can tell him for sure where it is and how to remove it.:flipoff2:

It sandwiches between a connector and your computer is. I dunno where your computer is on a 91, but its prolly in the engine bay or behind the dash. Look for a square thing with 3 medium plugs going into it, or one big one - either way, look for a lot of wires. Find the one that has something between the connector and the computer, disconnect the plug, remove gayass jet module, and plug it back in.

Can you tell me where the socks are located so I can mend them and put them back into stock form?
Damn it, do a google search, the technical term is 'to darn a sock', not mend. I can post a link to a Yahoo sock message group for you.

Who's this Lt1Cj7?
Links happen to be great resources for info, how is that not help?

Greasyjeep, try dissconnecting the battery, turn the key and reconnect the battery. It should default to factory comp settings and start learning from scratch.
