So, Chipper Ross and I went to Jurgens on Sat and drove down into the rock garden to to water and hung out. When I went to get back out, I took some silly-ass line to goof off and killed my bed side, broke a rear D60 axle and then proceeded to break a D60 front stub axle! Hell yeah I was having a great ol' time getting it on. It is so cool to have a little trail that can be so gnarly, this close to home right on the river...

hey i was down there with my friend in robs old jeep and my yota. you were gettin it from what it lokked like. was that you in the grey cherokke goin in as we were leaving. that thing was bad ass.

Yeah, we were down in the rock garden peelin' out and trying to get some crazy looking lines going. Yeah, I had to take the ol' Grand Cherokee down to bring parts to the Toy. I would have driven it out in 2 wheel drive no problem but I wasted a power steering line and with full hydro, you lose all steering when that happens.
Kinda sucked but still good fun...

Did I see you signed up for the cleanup???? No excuses! Davis is close enough. If you goto the cleanup, I'm sure you can get directions to Jurgens, cuz, if you are at the cleanup, hopefully you get it and won't fawk up this place.

But, If you flake or puss out and don't go, then you are IMO part of the problem and don't deserve directions do a nice local place that almost got closed by losers.

Better yet, do a search for Jergens trail and get the information to DIRECTLY work to keep THIS area open.

Cleaning up the Rubicon is nice, certainly, but if you really groove on Jergens and that section of the American River, get off your butts and attend some meetings... the future of this segment of the river canyon is being planned NOW... and with only five other folks EVER showing up to meetings, the clear statement from the 4x4 community continues to be apathy on this chunk of land... <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

Actually, I am the current President of the Dixon 4 Wheelers and I am very interested in keeping trails open. We are a small club, but are trying to get involved where we can. I personally have to work the weekend of the cleanup.(I babysit inmates) so I can't get the time off..I tried! And just like any responsible wheeler..I always hual out more than I take in.
