I have a 1988 Chevrolet 3500 dually went from a 454to a5.7 with 400 and a 4.10 rear will this work out for regular driving someone told me that the rear axle would be too much for the engine supposed to over rpm and burn up engine I never heard of this can someone shed some light for this.

A 350 is much happier, spinning high rpm than a big block.

Whoever told you it was going to be a problem is an idiot, and you should avoid ever discussing vehicles with them again. They don’t know shit.

Also, why do you want a dually for regular driving? It should be used to tow shit. It’s going to get terrible mileage and be a giant pain in the ass to park and run around in traffic.

Yes what I meant to say about regular driving I go around collecting junk metal need the dually to hold more weight so I would drive it more regularly

That set up will work. Maybe shit milage on the highway but that's it. 5.7s can rev all day. Better than a big block does.
