Looking at the advance adapters page, the NP231 w/ short shaft is 16.3" long (about 20" w/o the short shaft kit) so the KLUNE V
/ATLAS combo is a total of 20.3" long, the KLUNE V/NP231 w/ short shaft combo is 22.8" long. So if you choose to go 231 short shaft/klune v combo it isn't going to shorten the driveline too much (2.5" to 3" difference in total length.) If you have the money to go ATLAS Klune V the length difference is 0" to .5". If any of this is incorrect let me know because I don't see much problem in driveline length if you ue a high angle drive line.

Jeremy

The info used:
NP231 stock - 19.8" to 20.3"
NP231 w/ AA short shaft - 16.3"
ATLAS - 13.8"
Klune V - 6.5"

I believe the two ratios available in the Klune V are the 4.0:1 and te 2.7:1

I plan on a Klune V at some point and move my engine forward to compensate for the added length.

Selectable. So you can still get your T case in low range just like you dont have a Klune.
Or you can keep the t case in Hi range and go to 4-1 and be slightly lower than low in your t case or you can go way down and 11-1 and reduce your t case and go nowhere in a hurry.

I should have a final crawl of like 195 -1 And that is with 4:10 gears. slow enough for ya?

you must be wrong with the 11.0 to 1, if that was the case youd end up with 780 to 1 ratio i dont think so...

if you run everything you currently have plus the klune in a lets say 4 to 1 youd have a final ratio of 178.432 to 1

if ya tera lowed and kluned you have 262.4 to 1

if ya went to a 4 speed box with roughly a 6.5 first youd have 426.4 to 1

if ya did all the above and changed gears to 5.13 youd have 530.4 to 1

there ya go belly! and i have no engineering degree ba hahahaha
