Ok, I have a 1981 chevy k20, I got this new axle supposedly it is a dana 60.. None of the numbers indicate that, it has ball joints not kingpin. So now I am unsure what I have but what ever it is I have to make it work for my stupidity.
Here are the specs on the axle: 10 bolt
# on the long tube are as seen: CPS G 5 227 2
#'s on pumpkin are: left side 14030376 and right side GM11

Please help me new 4x4 traded in my hot rod for the dirt.
Thanks!!

if the diff covers round its likely a 10 bolt. . . but the 60 has ten bolt holding the cover on as well but the cover is squared off at the sides.

I really hope u didnt pay for a 60 and get a 10 bolt. . .

Look at the "what do u call this" thread in this same section . . its got pics of what a 10bolt cover looks like.
