is it possible for shackles to freeze up?
i went to look at an 84 yota the was rolled and has been sitting for about a month, as i bounced the back end it didnt seem like the springs moved at all.
the other factor in this is the rear shckle angle is almost 90 degrees. i thought this could play a partin the problem.
the truck also has about 3inch suspension(i think) lift.
thanks for any advice,
Brent

Haven't done many lifts yet eh? Rubber bushings have a tendency to graft themselves to the shackle pins. Polly though doesn't seem to be as bad. The ever infamous is to torch out the bushings. It's a rust thing. So yes and no they can "freeze up". need more than just a person hopping up and down to get it to move. BTW no serios ill-affects of this problem. Just undo and replace. Just like any other rusty thing. HTH
