Lets all post pics of our bowties and jimmys in this thread.

Here's my ugly duckling.
'82 Chebby C20 Scottsdale 6.2L 2wd Camper Special, used for parts chasing and towing. :trooper:

This is my 90 GMC Jimmy when I got it. I started converting it to the NV 4500 5 SPEED. This is a 350/400/208. It may not look like much but it's a beast.

Here's my '65 K20. It's a work in progress. Poser flex pics courtesy of the skid steer while building my shop pad. View attachment 3110445 View attachment 3110446
Very nice. I owned a 64 k20 that my dad currently owns and I owned a 65 k10 that I recently sold. Both factory 4x4 that we changed out the weak stuff for much better. Not crawlers but nice daily drivers.

Not new to the forum, but it's been a decade or so. SOME things have changed. Anyways, here's mine. 2013 5.3 6in RC. From what I heard, it was a dealer install. Running 33s on 18s. Mainly my chariotte for fishing PINS.

Got my 84' M1031 about a decade ago. Been fairly stock and dead balls reliable although slow and loud. Recently went to 12v to fit air conditioning. Once that was done I installed New Vintage Aviator gauges. Next on the list is overdrive. Want to keep it zombie apocalypse with an NV4500 bit a 6L80 would really make the 6.2 bearable with the close steps in gears and double overdrive.

Just finished the 84' Dante's Peak CUCV clone Suburban. This bad larry is 8.1 4L80 NP205 and it succesfully converts gasoline into smiles per mile. Sometimes I just blow people off the line for the hell of it. I have it outfitted with the military bumpers and D rings. I'm working on a rear tire carrier and roof rack so it closely matches the movie truck. This one has a pair of GC2 AGM batteries in the spare tire carrier. 2500 watt inverter charger and my DC generator (www.affordabledcgenerators.com) will mount on the swing out carrier and be automatically controlled with a SmartGen controller. I have a Webasto gasoline heater and a fridge so if it is unattended the gennie will come on to recharge the batts.

Both rigs are lifted 4" with a shackle flip and have the stock military axles. The Suburban started life as a C20 350 700r4, I dropped the driveline from an M1010 ambulance into it. New alternators, twin fuel filters, refitted driveshafts, new exhaust...then that junk 6.2 cracked the block and leaked antifreeze on like day 3. So immediately engine came out and an 8.1 4L80e NP205 went in. Problem solved with triple the power.
