i have some lifter noise in my 305 at about 1900 and above. i took the valve covers off to see whats up and one of the rockers has a stream of oil coming out of it that shoots a couple of feet??? whats up with this?? the rest are just spurting out a little. any help would be appreciated

Try a needle and fishing line, fixed my leg when it did that.

you probably have a lifter colapsing(sp?) when the cam lobe comes up, the lifter is depressing instead of staying hard and squirting the oil like that, just gives it more force! lol it wouldnt be a bad idea to pull the intake and change the lifters, that should fix your problem.

sometimes you can get lucky by squirting carb cleaner in the stuck lifter. i'd never do it for mine though. i'd just change the lifters. they're only like 3 dollars a piece or less.
