You can order a custom-built crossmember from BudBuilt.com, Bud makes them with any amount of lift that you want, no extra charge. I just finished installing mine the other day, with 1" of lift, I gained a little over 2-1/2" of clearance.
If you're lifting the t-case on a 2nd gen runner you will have to move/ modify the horsecollar crossmember because the rear d-shaft WILL hit it. This means you have to move the gas tak as well, but the rear of the gastank CANNOT be moved up without getting rid of the rear coil spring setup. The upper control arm mount is in the way.
It kinda opens up a can o' worms eh?
FWIW, I've done mine (3" d-train lift) but I moved the gas tank behind the rear axle. I'm going to move the g-tank back to the stock location after I get the leaves in the rear, but up 3" higher.
