I am debating on whether to use Cadi El Derado calipers with a custom weld on caliper bracket on my 9".
I have heard that a certain model Lincoln has discs in the rear with a bolt on caliper bracket and large calipers. Anyone know what model, years and if the rotors are 5x5.5? I can't find any $hit anywhere.

I just got through putting a 76 lincoln Mark IV rear-end with disc brake under my YJ. From 76-79 they came with this rear-end. They are 28 spline axles, (I upgrade to dutchman 31 spline axles), they have the Ford Large Bearings in them and have the emergency brake bracket on the caliper. The stock axle is 5 on 5 bolt pattern, I had the axles made for 5 on 5.5 and had the rotors redrilled. I also had to get new wheels obviously because of the new bolt pattern. I got the detroit locker and 4.86 R&P form drive train direct.

The pinion is rotated at 15 degress pointing up. I am 2.5 in SOA. Beleive it or not had to have my new CV drive line lengthened 1 inch. Also set up a traction bar set-up like Sams off-road. I love the set-up havent had it off-road yet, finishing up the front HP 44.

By the way if you want to go to 35 spline axles you will have to change out the carrier 3rd member case. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the info, but I already have a 9" on my YJ. Just trying to dump the drums in favor of discs. I blew the 9" apart this past weekend up in Clayton. The pilot bearinng support cracked sending the pinion out of the case via the pinion support. A common problem I hear. Thought it was just a driveshaft, but when I picked it up there was a pinion and yoke on the end. Sheeeit! Even broke a tooth on the ring gear.
