Well we kinda took it to the next level. The last time this jeep came in we did some pretty cool modifications to it, made it work pretty well.
Here's a link to what we did the first time around.
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=155057&highlight=mrtwstr

The owners were happy with the way it performed but wanted to step it up a little so here's what we did....

Rear, 5.38 w/ARB. (Replaced a Tera 60)

Front, 5.38 w/ARB. (Replaced a Terra 60)

Belly. (Replaced a 4.0 Atlass with a 5.0) (the skid plate's not totally finished)

Engine. (replaced a 4 cyl with a TBI 350)

Rubber. (stepped up from 38's to 42's with Trail Ready's)

Finished.

There's still acouple little things to finish up but they are gonna take it out and beat on it so we will see how it holds up.
I can't wait to wheel with these guys this summer, it's gona be fun!

Looks great. Nice work. Do you have any more pics of the "splice" you did when you ran the round tube off of the original square tube frame?

Edit.. let me clarify a little... if you have pics of the rear tube frame extension id like to see them..

thanks

Nice Work. One question, Do you think the same front link setup would work using a highsteer instead of full hydro?
You could put a normal "lo-steer" system on it like that. You would need to put a trac-bar on it though...Actually when I think about it, a trac bar wouldn't work with a triangulated setup. Hmm. Its 530..I'm goin to bed:D

Thanks guys. I really apreciate the compliments.

The axles were replaced for a few reasons. 4" wider, rear steer, more clearance and alot stronger. We're going to put the old axles in another project pretty soon so it's not like they were waisted.

The rear steer is plumbed through the front. The pressure comes from the pump, through the rear steer control valve then to the orbital valve. Works perfectly! You can turn the front and rear at the same time easily.

The rams are the new Howe 10". They are nice but I think it was pretty stupid to quit making the 8" rams.

Stick, if you'd actually get off your ass and take that thing apart and get it down here we'll get it fixed up. Shit man, it should have been done by now and you havn't even started.:flipoff2:
