I'm sorry... am I reading this correctly?!?!?!?! Trutrac is garbage... you'd ruin it by wasting money on a trutrac... hardly helps off-road... get a locker...way more predictable on road as well...

DD put in a ARB or Toyota eletric locker. Then when you do the SAS you can swap it to the front and put a Detroit in the rear, or another ARB. My friend has a true-trac in front of his K5 (Or maybe its a trash-loc? Never can keep the LSD's straight)

Anyway, he was high-centered on his front diff on the Dozer Trail down here in Memphrica, and only one tire was spinning. Someone told him to hit the brake, and it started creeping forward when the other wheel grabbed. It's gotta be weird moving forward by tapping the brakes.

The problem with them is that the true-trac can "Send up to 3x the torque of the slipping wheel to the one with traction." But... when you lift a tire, and one is in the air spinning, 3 times nothing is still NOTHING. Hence hitting the brakes while on the gas.

Why worry about it? Spool it, weld it, detroit it, ARB it, or LEAST lcokright it...

...but don't handicap it with a limited-slip.

Go with a open diff, lockers just break parts. In fact I wouldn't go offroad at all <IMG SRC="smilies/laughing.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/laughing.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/laughing.gif" border="0">
