Stumped here, engine is running lean.


LS 408 stroker
6.0 bottom
LS3 based heads
58 tooth
under 30 hours on the motor



o2 sensor trim levels show the ecm is pulling back fuel
engine idles fine, falls on face under load
fuel pressure at 58-60 at idle or under load
o2 sensors look fine
no codes
spark plugs look fine
cleaned the maf sensor

My hunch is a big vac leak or intake leak but spraying around the intake changes nothing.

clogged injectors?


Any ideas?

I have access to a better scanner but not proficient with it, I assume we can manually open and close injectors with the scanner or should I just pull them and try to bench test?

I had this same problem it was a injector ..then i learned not to use cheap brand knock sensors

might be worth it to add an AFR sensor/gauge to the exhaust to rule out other issues. I've had issues like this in the past but it was never the same part as the culprit every time. Are you running one O2 per bank. Checking for a clogged injector is easy.. Just pull the fuel rail/injectors and flip it upside down and turn the engine over. If one is clogged the spray pattern will be noticeably different or nonexistant. LS injectors are notorious for clogging if the engine sits for extended periods of time.
