After washing my rig for the first time after installing ORIs it dawned on me that I had no idea what if anything to do about living the shaft.

I gave them a quick spray down of light machine oil (similar to Remington gun oil) but what are the rest of you all doing?

nothing but wash them.
any oily stuff will only attract dirt to them

Not sure if serious

What you could try is driving it, jumping it or wipe the shafts dry with a towel since it must be a pavement princess

In the Navy we wiped the landing gear struts chrome finish daily with hydraulic fluid in a spray bottle. We were 100 yards from the Pacific Ocean though.
