Yeah this thing is amazing! I'm driving down the road and my TJ will speed up to 120mph (least that's what the speedo says!) yet my magic tranny slows the world around me down to normal speed so I dont hurt mysef.

Or... the speedo is FAWKED. If it is; whats wrong? My boss has a chrystler car that does the same thing. Started doing it severral months after I replaced the speedo gear to the one to go with my 456's

You have a bad ground in the wireing for the sensors. Your crank position sensor speed sensor and more share the same ground. When the ground fails it allow stray signals to go through the wrong gage. This happened on my 93 Dodge with the CTD. Once I got the ground fixed the gages started working correctly.

Makes since, where to start looking for bad ground? Any search hints? It does it especially as the auto tranny changes gears. like when the motor and stuff takes a torque.. randomly when just crusing though it happens more and more often lately.

mine was on the side of the engine. Their is a stud with 3 wires going to it one had broke. yours may be different beings you have a different vehicle. you should buy a manual with a wireing diagram so you can get an idea of where your grounds are and which ones are associated with the speed sensor.

thanx

I got the factory service manuel. It's burried in my jeep. I'll dig it out if it's not on the block.
