Just making sure that there are no problems with turning a passenger drop dana 44 off a chevy into a driver drop. As far as I know it's just gotta be retubed but am I missing anything?

thanks, another question, whats the best way to remove the old tube from the center housing?

Was thinking the same thing. Pressing tube out of a center section from what I hear is a PITA. Not to mention you could go high pinion :D

Get your chopsaw
Cut each tube at an equal distance from center of carrier.
swap sides
weld
sleeve with d60 tube
swap sides with outers.

bootylicious but it works.

It may be depending on if I could find one with no cast in radius arm perches for a decent price. I already have the chevy axle so... but I still may go with the ford axle if I cound find one.
