Just making sure that there are no problems with turning a passenger drop dana 44 off a chevy into a driver drop. As far as I know it's just gotta be retubed but am I missing anything?

Wouldn't it be much, much easier to just get a 44 out of a ford, which is already driver's drop?
Was thinking the same thing. Pressing tube out of a center section from what I hear is a PITA. Not to mention you could go high pinion :D

It may be depending on if I could find one with no cast in radius arm perches for a decent price. I already have the chevy axle so... but I still may go with the ford axle if I cound find one.
