damn, i seriously hate to do this, but these guys are either super busy or?

i was billed august 7th on my credit card for $860 worth of parts from marlin crawler. i actually ordered it about 1.5-two weeks earlier but got a notice via email something was up with the shipping address or credit card info? i never called marlincrawler at this point, there was a ups tracking number sent to me. about a week and half or so later it actually billed my account so i thought all was good, but the tracking status never changed on the website....ive ordered from them or the 'other shop' in fresno and the stuff arrived in 1-3 days....

a week or so goes by and i email 'steve' asking the status on the order, another week, no return email, i do it again. finally i begin to call while at work. once a week or so i call. the first week i never got through. the second week(or so) i get ahold of a woman who finds out my order never shipped and 'its in the mail that day or the next'...

next week, still know parts, i call again and suddenly they have no 23 spline inputs, but i ask that they ship the rest of my order and ill get a set from inchworm or trailgear...

my credit card is refunded the $ for two 23 spline inputs almost imediately(i believe the next day).... i called today while at work but couldnt get through. its september 11th, i was billed on august 7th, i actually placed the order approximately 1.5-2 weeks prior to that...

whats up? tomorrow i will call and ask specifically for cruzerdave or cj. they have always been on it when i met them personally at the shop or ordered over the phone.

i dont know whats up with the rest of the 'sales' department. but they certainly arent reflecting the image and integrity we all know of the man that signs their paycheck...

Man you know better than to start shit online. Every company has there issues. Shit i've had a fluidamper on order for my dodge almost 2 months now. Call them up and resolve it.

c'mon john, how many times you want me to call, email? i even posted o there forum asking my order satus twice along with the emails to 'steve'...
Maybe it's time to step up and get rid of that toy crap. :flipoff2:

The problem i have been having lately is if you ask for someone specifically they either arn't there or there two busy so if you have a technical question it is next to impossible to get answered. As for ordering problems i had a similiar problem where my whole order got delayed due to one part, but after a quick call it was all fixed up for me. Anyway the best of luck to you and getting your issue sorted out.

Maybe it's time to step up and get rid of that toy crap. :flipoff2:

i thought about it, but then i remember this really mechanically inclined friend of mine who was quite handy working on trucks, especially motors....i believe it had an lt1, th400, 203/205 doubler....he towed his rig all the way to the hammers and it ran so fawkin hot he couldnt even cruise around the lakebed...:flipoff2: x2 :D

thats not fair, you try running a gay midget porn company, fawkin workins comp insurance is killing me and the hours are hell...ill send you some videos, no hard feelings:D ps i have the stupid 3.0 v6 @260:1(6.17's), i dont think ill be snappin chromo shafts...

Paul you know your not allowed to say anything negative about a well liked vendor. It dosent matter how long you have waited or how bad your treated by a Vendor, your not allowed to bitch. It's not your money once you send it to them, they have no reason to answer your question. They will send you THEIR parts when they are ready. If you do say something negative even though you have spent $100,000,000 and have waited 1 year you are a bad person and should sell your stuff and never think about the sport again.


ps. Ive had a few to drink and this shit pisses me off. If I order a part and im charged for it I want in in a timely manner. There should be no questions.

My flame suit is on.

yes! knowone will ever question the generosity and customer loyalty the owner has always displayed, but apparently theres a shortage of quality sales people to hire in the fresno area.

I have ordered some stuff through them in the last month and they shipped most of the stuff except 2 parts that were on back order. I did get billed for them and when I called to ask when they would ship they told me they would make sure the parts were in the mail that day.

I do understand that they might run out of a certain part so I was not pissed but I can see why you are frustrated in your situation and rightfully so. I always heard they are super busy earlier in the week and to call later in the week on Thursday or Friday. You might just be that 1/1000th person who fell through the crack but once you can get a hold of one of those guys I'm sure things will be fixed quick.

i just dealt with MC on some exchange stuff and they've been great. i've never dealt with backordered stuff from them, but it is b.s. to be charged for an item if it's back ordered. the only reason a company doesn't hold off and charge the back ordered items later is because they are lazy. period. unless it is a big and or custom item with a deposit, the CC should not be charged until the day the items are shipped.

Oh dont call me any time soon now,because Im in Vegas and then off to the Carribean for a couple weeks.

Sorry this is happening to you - sucks when they got you by the balls and don't return your calls!

I hate to say this but I just ask for CJ when I call now. The girl that answers the phone is pretty much worthless as far as answers go.

I ordered a 23 spline 4.7 gearset back in June. After the initial date I was quoted (~ one month) I called once every week or two weeks to check up on the status. They ended up shipping last week, and I have no doubt they were worth the wait, but when I got the girl on the phone I'd tell her my situation, and ask if they were in and if they had an estimate of when they would be arriving. Her answer always consisted of "They're not in, and I don't know." :shaking:

I'd talk to CJ and shit would get done. I called once to ask about the possibility of broaching a Toyota carrier to 35 spline and he took a good 15 minutes to answer any questions I had about what they'd done for their previous Toy/60 hybrids. Only after that did I ask about the gears. He apologized for a good while, mentioned his frustrations with the supplier, looked up my order, and gave me a straight up answer regarding what he thought and not what the manufacturer was feeding him. I mentioned that when the gears did arrive I'd need a 23 spline adapter as well since I tossed my 21 spline junk together to hit the trails. Last week they got a set of gears for me, and he had added the coupler, a couple front axle seals, a twin stick that I'd mentioned, and some other small part...and cut me one HELL of a deal on it to compensate for my waiting period.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, make sure you talk to the right person. If I dealt with them all the time, one would make me want to take my business elsewhere, the other would make me want to spend my life savings with the company.

Yea I have had the same issues with some of the stuff I have ordered from Marlin. When I have talked to CJ about it he knows his shit. He can tell you when he will have it and when it will be out the door. I ordered a shirt from them and it was on backorder. I didnt receive it for about a year and I called and it was here in about 3 days. I know it was just a shirt, but it was my money that I paid for it with. my .02.

Quit whining about it. It's not like you're going to be ready to wheel anytime soon. :D (I can't say much, mine's torn apart once again)

Not to make excuses but I think they are getting geared up for their big run this weekend so this week might be tough to reach them. Like has been stated, get CJ or Dave and they'll get ya taken care of.

Yeah, I got a call at 4:30 CST which would make it 2:30 over there, and he sounded sorta rushed, I asked if he was in a hurry since I needed to order a couple other things since they were sending a box to my house anyways. He said not really, just that he was determined to get my junk out the door that day.

Exactly what I was going to say. It is hard getting someone on the phone at times but i've always had good customer service with MC.

Hope everything get's resolved for ya :)
