Mech fan blade to radiator clearance

I would say yes, I had slightly more and was able to flex the motor into the radiator. If you don't use stock mounts and have something more robust and captured your prolly ok but mechanical fans like to draw pressure through the radiator which usually has a low point in the center of the fan.....do a simple smoke test through your radiator, its kinds cool to see....I eventually went electric, not ideal but ran out of real estate...

I have about 3/8" between the plastic factory toyota fan blade and the radiator. Too close and asking for trouble?

I had mine about that close. I was trying to bump it up an obstacle and when I slid back, the rear diff hit a rock and the momentum flexed the radiator back into the blade and opened up a nice circle in it.

I'd like it to be around double what you have to be comfy.
