is 225/75-15 tallest tire what was available from factory?

In Finland, I can only get inspected 2" taller tire than original (That sucks! )

So i need info for taller tire than 225...

well, I think that metric tonne ones came with 235/75s, but im not sure, there should be a place around here to find this out, ill look

if that is the case, I think you can go to 30" tall tire (most 31/10.50s measure that)

The owners manual for my 89 MJ Metric Tonne lists 195/75 through 225/75 and IIRC it had a 225 spare under the bed when I got it @80,000 miles

I dunno how your local law is, but if you used the designated (225) size as a baseline = 28.29" / 718mm then used 'actual measured' height of the tires, you could probably get away with 31"

My Mj came with 225/75 tires. If i remember right 31" tire is 55mm higher than 225, only 4mm over the limit!
They check the tire sizes from STRO norm book.

Ill try to inspect my 31" tires,

Any Xj´s came with taller than 225?
