A 1/2 ton caliper and rotor on all four corners should work fine to stop a 37" tire. however, it seems that the only disk brake conversion that are currently available either have the std 8 lug pattern or they retain the unimog pattern. Maybe with the popularity of these axles increasing, someone will make a 5 lug and 6 lug conversion.
The Jeep is now equiped with GM 1/2 ton caliper and CJ discs. It's very bad. It's impossible to bloc the tyres.
This the raison because I want to have portal axles with good brakes.
I will start with big GM calipers but I don't know what I have to take for discs. Which truck have 5x5.5 pattern and big discs ??
