I want to rewire this motor from 440 to 220V, it came off my Bridgeport power feed.
The 220V on the tag is crossed out, which makes me believe it cant be rewired?
Google didnt turn up anything on this motor, or rewiring. I am planning on running it on a VFD.
If it cannot be rewired, and I run it off 220v 3phase, will it just run slower?

It may run slower, it may not run at all, but it won't have any kinda torque or starting oomph.

What sort of leads does it have coming out? Junction box or just loose wires?

I dunno if that one is delta or Y connected (the small 3-phase ones we make are just delta but most small stuff from the US is likely Y)...but in our case there are 12 motor leads, and depending on how you have them jumped or connected it'll be either high or low voltage.

In an ideal case your leads should be labeled somehow by industry NEMA standards (T-1 through T-12) and it should be pretty easy to figure out how it 'should' be connected from that.
