'About Public Lands' Group Sabotages Private Land Owner Efforts to Manage Forest Health — It has been reported that a group calling itself "About Public Lands" is engaging in a sabotage campaign against private land owners in Colorado for implementing a forest health program aimed at reducing wildfires. Members of this outfit have repeatedly trespassed onto private timberland in order to obstruct roads used to thin out overgrown areas prone to intense fires that can devastate wildlife and habitat. Scores of "Private Property" signs have been removed by the perpetrators. Other acts of vandalism believed to have been committed by the group have cost hundreds of dollars in damages. About Public Lands has posted several photos of their destructive work to the group's web site, which also contains a veiled threat that thinned forest areas may "catch fire."

:shaking: Trees laying upon the ground contribute to duff layer and increase fire hazard. trees removed and properly maintained or cleared small previously numbered county roads and trails that are open contribute to better fire breaks and Fire truck access. You decide sounds like a case of poor management and unfounded accusations does the article have pictures showing the so called perpatraitors caught in the act of commiting these crimes? If not it is nothing more than a Sierra Club article typical of any other spin article. For all the public cares without pictures and proof its just claims, Could be the community at large revolting against injustice.... Very similar to what Dillon / South west Montana residents did in large to Rosenburg and also Ted Turner when they both tried to do wrong to the masses.

I seriously doubt it is just one small group as the article claims.

Hmm, now this guy starts a new thread, and uses their same old tactic they tried to pull on me a couple years ago. Someone takes a stand, and they immediately start labeling him anti-private property, or some other label. Sorry, dumbass, didn't work on me, and it won't work on vb either. :shaking:

Interesting, Mr. Ullrich. Didn't you once offer to take part in a proposed APL eco-terror attack? Did you? Correct me if I'm wrong.

How is APL and ORC using trespassing and vandalism to "take a stand" make those august organization any different from ELF or ALF?

See, back when Mr. Brandt was trying to strong arm local jeep clubs into breaking their forum security and privacy vows so he could prove Boslough used government computers while participating on their forums (and which to at least one's credit they refused to do beyond assuring Brandt no .gov existed on Boslough's IP's, which Brandt didn't believe), there was lots of discussion about what the ethics were of using work computers and work time to participate in these things. Much like governments don't like their employees belonging to organizations that advocate or accomplish illegal activity. That's a topic that ought to be discussed.
