Yes I did a search, but.... I just got a used msd6 and I want to wire it up. The question is how do I wire it without using the stock ignitor? I called msd tech line and they said it's not possible. For those that have wired it up without the stock ignitor did the tach adapter still work?

from what i have heard you cannot run an msd on efi without the adapter and igniter.
the adapter boosts the signal so you can still run injectors, tach and whatever else is getting signal from the ignitor.
if you have carb it should just wire up

On the carbed motors, toss the igniter.. Run the trigger from the distributor into the MSD, and the wire the msd to control the coil, I have the wiring scematics at home, and if you have a toyota tach, you will need the adapter(on early models only)

Ok, judging by your sig line its an 85, ok, you should not need the tack adapter, to the best of my knowledge thats just on the early models like mine...
