I'm looking to run a 3-link rear suspension -
on the upper control arm, I am considering using a Y-shaped arm (like Spidertrax uses) OR using a single upper link and a panhard bar.

Anybody got any experience/opinions on this?

i used the 4 link and if you're looking for most flex do the 4-link.as it allows the uppers to rotate at both ends instead of just one.

That's my point exactly - if you run a true 3-link you can get practically as much flex, but you'd have to run a panhard bar, too.

How long have you been running those links? Reason I ask is that they look just like tractor links. A guy named Bob Norman (a.k.a. "Killer Bee") used them and ripped them out....

I HOPE THE TRACTOR LINKS DON'T RIP OUT , CAUSE THAT WHAT I USED AS WELL. THEY SEEM TO BE REAL BEEEFY AND ARE HARDENED STEEL. ALTHOUGH KILLER BEE HAS A SMALL BLOCK CHEVY DOESN'T IT. THAT'S WAY MORE HP AND TORQUE.

Bob had all-Suzuki running gear in his hardtop when it came loose. I know he had just barely gotten it together for ZukiMelt in Attica last year - had coils on all 4 corners. I didn't actually see what happened to it, but last I heard he was changing to coil-overs.
Heck, if they're in there & working, I'd run 'em & just keep a check on them.
