EB 1 tons and dove tail*new pics-page4*

Well, I started 5/23/07. Put the bronco on stands(need those taller ones from HF)Got the front axle, suspension, and steering all out the way. Should have the rear axle out tonight. I have a set of '77 front/rear axles from a F150. Plann to cut the rockers out in place of some slides. Got hydro boost to install...maybe hydro assist steering too.Caddy rear disc.

Will post pics later as I go.

Few questions : Dont like the radius arm bushings @ the frame(no flex) what does everone else run? I'm thing of going back to the stock rubber ones...now I have the polys. I have the longer radius arms from Bronco Bod(all for fun offroad-older version).

what do ya'll do for tie rod/drag link...thinking of using Parts Mike? What about the track bar also? Thanks guys,Chuck

started on the rock sliders last night. still have to pressure wash the front donor axle before cutting starts. So...off with those rockers.

gonna try to get the other side off, and at least weld one of the sliders in place. Does anyone suggest bracing under or behind the new 2x4 square tube slider?

I have those bushings on my Bronco. They seem to work good. I have a wristed arm.

if you want a little better flex with the rad arms you can make them a little longer with tube and then use heims or jonny joints on the end of them with some new mounts on the frame.

As for steering, I just bought a complete kit from Bullet Proof for my 78 F150 and it is awesome. The truckis a dream to drive again.

I run those bushings and love them but I am a wristed arm, not extended. If I was extended I would run a Currie Johnny joint at the frame.

It took me a minute to notice the front tires steering all wrong because I was looking at the rear. It looks like the one back tire is there and normal but the housing is gone after the pumpkin.

Do you have to make any changes to the axles if you stay with the radius arms?
Since these axles are wider than the stock EB Bronco D44.
Or is that an added benefit with the full width axle change out?

sorry guys, been stripping out the HPD44...getting it ready to move radius mounts. I can use the longer arms I have for better flex...not as good as duff, cage,or johnny joints, but better than stock. I really want that wider stance for off camber times. Just found, the case has been fixed...I guess the center pin came out one time or another...just something else that needs fixing. Cut the driver side rocker out today will post some more pics later.

WHITE RHINO, thanks...nice build ya did! I'm still on a budget. Trying to get those chromos 1st. Still not sure what I'll be able to do w/steering.

Looks very close to what I did before. Don't even deal with dumbassed bayonette bushings anymore. Go ahead and add a joint of some sort to save yourself some headaches later.

Good advice Braxton-by the way, did you get the winch fixed and are you coming to Tellico in July?

How would you add a joint to these arms? I have no details of these arms I have now...Dont know if they were stockers modified, or completely new using just the cast [email protected] the axle.I do know these were the original design from All-For-Fun Offroad(BroncoBob)

got the mounts cut off and relocated...kinda crude-but I think it'll work good. No time for pics, upload them tomorrow.Chuck

EBSTEVE, that looks to be the front "C" on the ground w/ the axleshaft yoke inside it to me, nothing to do w/ the back.

Ha, Thanks. What good memory you have of things I don't want to remember.:D:flipoff2: Yes, I did get all of that taken care of as well as the steering and engine, tires, fuel injection, so on and so forth. I'm going to really try and make it bronco or not. I had a great time last time.
