To start off with I stole all this off a local board that i posted my junk on. This is totally a budget build for me. and when I have time and money I work on it.

so here we go

This is my first Buggy build ever 90% of this is build is all my design in my head...lol ( thats not good) personaly I do a ton of research that led me here. I love the low wide big tire look but unfortunatly it just won't work for me here on the West coast. Since my whole life has been in the performance industry you know this bitch will make some power but I don't wanna get too crazy. anyways before we get into my junk here I will appologize before hand for CAP'S my computer here at work only uses cap's and sometime I jump back and forth between work and play ;D

Well this all started many many moon's ago over a drunk'in conversation down at K.O.H. and the ball was set in a very very slow moving roll. the main thing's I wanted was a chassis that I could beat the shit out of and never worrie about it. I decided to go with cromo mainly cuz I could get a stupid good deal on it. this build started off shooting for the moon and since I have two teen age boy's it has been pulled way back.........waaay back. this whole build is not a priority to me and I play with it as time and money permit's. my wife and I are all about our family and we spend a ton of time with our boy's. it's not uncommon to be at somesort of a sport event 7 day's a week between games and practices.

Anyway's the main chassis is 1 3/4 .120 wall cromo and a mix of 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 here and there. the biggest concern's for me was that i had enough room for my fat ass to be comfy all day long. i bought a truck load of tube around 280 feet and started hoarding parts. the list of junk as follow's

ESTIMATED DATE I GOT THIS BACK HOME AND STARTED WAS LATE 2011 EARLY 2012

Chassis spec's
all cromo (had to be Tig welded that was the deal I made to the guy I got the tube from )

DRIVETRAIN SPECS
6.0 LS engine
Mast motorsports Head's

F.A.S.T. truck intake for 102mm throttle body

More progress this past weekend. both boys are done with Football so now I have 2 weeks off till Wrestling and Basketball start. I went out and did a super clean on the garage since we got in the habit of dropping stuff off in their and running off to the next thing, that and I needed to make room for Cody to come over and do some more welding anyways we got the motor mounts all burned in, tubes for the seat's burned in, tabs for the seat mounts radiator bracket's and the pucks on the side of the radiator

Seat stuff

Then we moved on to the radiator mounting bracket and puck's

Also while I was all inspired I built the rear upper mounts and tacked them in. now just waiting on the lower tabs to be burned out

Well I was sorely mistaken. about the boys having two weeks off. apparently they have the option of going to preseason Basketball and Wrestling so we are doing that. anyways I was out playing around last night attempting to figure more stuff out. I have a cool idea on how I want to mount the fuel cell that will also hold 6-8 quarts of oil. so I played with that and a few other things. while I was out I took a few pics of the rear coilover mounts. just waiting on the lower tabs and I can cycle the rear

also working on a couple storage idea's and shifter mounts. I have this thing about waisted space and using that space for something

Two weeks ago I did some wheelin and dealin and worked out a trade for these monster's

my whole intention was to make it a roller and figured I would never wheel it with these. I already had a back up plan in effect if they didn't work to get off of these and move forward. so once I set them next to the chassis I knew....way to big and heavy..must find smaller lighter

This past weekend was a rough weekend. I got rid of my Toyota :( but also traded the tires off for something a little better for me. I also got a matching pair of axles Dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear

also in my wheeling's and dealings this weekend I got what seems to be hard to find stupid wide 14 bolt rear that I am now eyeballing to build a 14 bolt front for this beast....we shall see...it's only time and money right

Since I have this constant desire to upgrade everything.....and I have an HD case th400 that I obtained. I now am going to swap the guts from the rebuild standard th400 case to the new HD case. I'm also going to install a 300m input with new drum and 300m output. I got the output today

input should be in next week

Picked up my lower tabs that I drew up from Trent Fab on Friday. Spend a whopping hour on the chassis. Attempted to cycle the rear but ran out of room for droop. Overall very happy

Not much progress...like usual....been wresting or had basketball 1-2 times each per week...no time for crap. I did manage to get home early one day and the front is all tacked in just need to take the time to cycle it. I did get in my A.T.I. aluminum balancer along with my badass input and drum :Big Grin: along the way I also got another 36 element sprag and drum. the original idea was to swap the guts from one case to the other. now it looks like i'll be just building another trans with the HD case. last thing on the tranny list is the manual VB

input and drum

on a quick bragging dad side note :Big Grin: the freshman boy took 4th in regional's and went undefeated in league for wrestling  unfortunately only the top 3 go to state....BOOOOOOOO!

here is his regionals pic on the podium....1-3rd were seniors...also the lightest and youngest in his bracket...lol

his medal for regionals

but this past weekend took 1st at the Rocky Mountain national's

WHAT GOT ME KICKED IN THE ASS WAS THAT MY NEW...NEW SEAT'S SHOWED UP. I PICKED THEM UP MONDAY AFTER WORK AND OF COURSE HAD TO SET THEM IN AND GO FOR A RIDE …. YEAH I WHEELED THE HAMMER'S THAT NIGHT...MADE ENGINE NOISES AND EVERYTHING

NOW THAT THE DAMN TRUSS IS ON AND THE LOWER'S TACKED IN I MOVED ON TO THE UPPER'S. WHILE ALL INSPIRED I HAD TO START PLAYING AROUND WITH HOW EVERYTHING WOULD FIT

BUMP'S IN,COILOVER CLOSE TO WHERE I THINK I MIGHT WANT IT AND I EVEN PUT THE SWAY BAR IN FOR MOCK UP

PICS WITH THE SWAY BAR IN.....GETTING PRETTY TIGHT

QUICK VIDEO OF ME SCREWING AROUND WITH A BRIDGEPORT

WITH ALL THIS MOCKING UP AND ME AND MY O.C.D. AND OVER THINKING EVERYTHING I FOUND THAT THE WINCH PLATE WONT WORK FOR ME IN THE INTENDED STOP BECAUSE IT'S TO NARROW. IM NOW THINKING OF CUTTING THE FRONT OF THE CHASSIS OFF AND MOUNTING THE WINCH BEHIND THE GRILL

Ive had this for sale for awhile and no one has any money......Sooooo im still making progress on it. I ordered up tons of plumbing stuff. (Like way more then I needed but I wanna be sure im good).enough to plumb the fuel system, Tranny, Engine oil cooler,Steering and the radiator stuff..should be here this week but unfortunately I'm in Philly for business for a week so no pics yet :)

It's hard to tell, but are your springs and lower spring cups going to clear the truss on the rear axle?

looks good, keep it up!

Looking good,
Where did you get all your plumbing supplies?
I'm about to tackle plumbing on my buggy. I just started pricing everything, man those AN fitting and hoses are pricey.
Fragola fittings and im direct with them. This was just over 3k off summits site

So what's the theory on the Super Damper? I've seen them on motors but never understood how they are an upgrade.
The rubber internally has a different/better duro (hardness) then a stock balancer so in a performance application it better reduces tge harmonics and vibration in the engine giving better life to bearings and other components in the engine..........damn that sounded like a sales pitch.....lol

ATI among others are the best of the best. I needed a Camaro balancer instead of the truck so why not go big like everything else
