I wrecked my 94 toy 4x4 v6 a couple of months ago. I was t-boned in the driver door. The frame is bent as well as the cab at the a-pillar. Rather than spend a pile of $ to straighten the frame and body, I am thinking of swappping the engine,tranny/tcase and rear axle into a 88 4runner. The 4 runner has a shot engine but is good otherwise. I got the 4runner for $500. Am I going to run into major problems doing this swap? I plan to sas the 4runner and run double tcases after the engine swap is done.
The reason that I am going to the 4runner is for seating space for the wife and 2 kids. Any advice is appreciated.
