i believe i found a front axle high pinion dana 70 at the bone yard that i can probably pick up for $200. the thing is is it worth it? it has a 3.73 ratio, it is off a duelly, and since it was in a fire it would need to be rebuilt. plus i'm not 100% sure it is a 70. the rear axle is an 80 with disc brakes. any info (value, demand, cost to rebuild) would be appreciated:beer:

need more info. get the b.o.m. # off the axle. that will tell u. might be a dana 61 arggg.

there never was a high pinion 70.

What vehicle is it in? What year? Driver side or passenger side drop?

Sounds like newer dodge axles.

the tie rod is stamped ford other than that i know nothing except the rear axle has disc brakes on it and it is HUGE with an '80' stamped on the housing. i'm going back out on monday with a pen this time to write down the numbers.

o.k. the number off the tag is 610655-1. i went to the dana expert site and it couldn't pull up any thing for me. I think it is a 60 now but i would still like to be sure. it is a high pinion drivers side drop with rev. cut 3.73 gears. open knuckle duelly with disc brakes.
