Well I removed the front Dshaft on my 84 and spun the Tcase by hand and it makes a pinging sound and also sounds like those old time skates with the metal wheels. It also would bind up sometimes when I would spin it to the left. So what do I do next I've never removed a Tcase before is it complicated and where do I start. Can it be rebuilt or would it be better to get one from a yard.

i DOVE into rebuilding my t-case and lemme tell you......PAY ATTENTION to how it comes apart and TAKE IT OFF THE TRUCK! my ordeal turned into a 4 day job cause i left it on the truck and had NO experiance with t-cases and no manual or diagrammm.......however, i NOW have an online diagram of how to rebuild a t-case from toyota......if ya want it, e-mail me...... <IMG SRC="smilies/rasta.gif" border="0">

That would be great if I could get that diagram from you. I just sent you a E-mail. So what do you think about the rebuild is it pretty simple with the diagram or still a PITA.
