Im in the middle of doing my slip yoke eliminator, and while Im not going to be able to do anymore today, because I have to go to work, I need some help here.. many of you have done this.. .but here is where my problem lies. Im trying to take off the speedometer housing on the t case, which is the second "cone" shaped thing on the back of the t case just before you get to seperating the case.. well.. I got it loose, and when I pull on it, the output shaft and internals all seem to want to come off with it. Its like there is something caught, that is causing this to happen.. any ideas?

Did you remove the snap-ring. I don't think there is anything it would be hung on.
He is correct. There is a snap ring that holds the output shaft from dropping too deep into the planet set.

I thinkin' your replies are about 5 YEARS too late:D
Wow, its interesting to see a reply. I did figure it out, and I actually thing it was a snap ring, but it was about 5 years ago, so I don't really remember LOL..
