I guess this is what he's talking about:

Of course, for the TrXus Mud Terrain, they have this to say, on the Interco site:

The TrXus Mud Terrain is Interco's answer to the needs of those who do not require the maximum off road traction but want a superb tire with good looks.
I can't help but wonder if, they mean the same for the TrXus STS - All Terrain.

You guys notice the sizes the STS will be offered up to? 44x21! <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0">

I still think the STS tires are goofy looking though.

Might be a good deep snow tire and probably good for sand. Can't imagine anything else it would work on.

I think that the MT looks like a good snow tire; siping, less void and smaller lugs are better for the white stuff. Lots of good mud tires just suck in snow, but these look like they'd be worth a try. A lot depends on the compound. I'll probably put a set of the MT's on my Z-71 DD soon and test 'em out. Gotta replace a whole lot of IFS parts first though.

The lugs are definitely smaller than on TSL's, and closer together, BUT imho the trXus has great sidewall tread for a tire in that range. Definitely better than the snowflake stuff on my SSR's, for what it's worth. (Wheeled with folks who have them, and they seemed to go everywhere more aggressive Swampers went except for deep mud...very comparable to the BFG MT it seemed.)

Not sure about the new trXus STS though.
