I probably should have posted this elsewhere......but,

I recently aquired an '03 Dodge 2500 & want to know all/any info about the rear axle it has. The glovebox info says 10.5" & 3.73 gears. I believe it's built by AAM. This things arse is bigger than an eastern fed sow!! It's appears to be a full floater too. Not sure what type traction device is installed. Any inside gouge is appreciated. Thanks for any/all info.

BTW, it's the towrig for my YJ.

You got it. AAM. They are made accross the pond I am pretty sure. Don't know the spline count or be of any real help but you might want to post this on the Dodge board if you havent already. I remember reading about Dodge switching to AAM and the front was going to be a RC60 type of axle. I think the Chevy HD 1 tons also come with AAM rears.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of insight about these axles that I've found. I towed with it ~300miles this weekend & she did fine.
