Getting ready for our July trip decided i had better figure out the no compression issue.
compression numbers: #1 &2: 0psi, #3-8: 60psi.
so shes a bit tired. 60psi isnt anything to write home about. but lets face it. i use this rig a max of 10 days a year, max of 100 miles a day. and its been running with the motor in that condition for 10 years. i dont need to freshen it up, i just need my other 2 cylinders back.
so I tore into the passenger side to see what was wrong.
VIOLA. fried head gasket. I love cheap easy fixes. :smokin:
Along the lines of cheap and easy fixes just to get by.... do you have a set of spider gears and a cross pin for a Ford 8.8 in your pile o parts? I'm trying to get a buddy's bronco going long enough to get him by until he can afford gears and a locker.
Nice thread and Bronco revival! Its good to hear you found a simple issue with the engine. My Bronco has been parked since 2006 and I plan on dragging it in the garage this summer to fire it back up. This thread gives me some motivation, thanks.
