hey guys, my dad just picked up a used air compressor off of a friend for practically nothing. I have not checked it out yet as im at school but from what he tells me, its a "LUX" brand manufacured in 1990. I cant find any info on this company on the net. Anyone ever heard of them? Anway he says the specs written on it are 15.7 cfm(doesnt say @ what psi but it says working psi is 115) and its a 60 gallon tank single stage pump 220 volt..im already planning to plumb our garage with a drop at the workbench and another on the ceiling with a reel of hose. So what i wanna know is...

1.) Any tips for me on what kinda of filter/regulators/water seperators i need?

2.)ive been reading about aftercoolers and dryers on the site and came across an idea to use an old mini fridge with coiled copper tubing inside to cool air before the tank with a diseccant dryer after the fridge. Anyone tried this yet? i already have an unused minifridge.

ive been searching for a couple days on the net but i cant seem to find any good info in any one place. any help you guys can offer would be great

thats kinda what i was thinking, although i do plan to buy a plasma in the semi near future and i figured it would be an easy project for a weekend...what i want to do is put the compressor in the corner and build a two sided box around it with the walls as the other sides with a roof/shelf over top to place the minifridge/dryer with some sorta sound proof on the inside of the box to keep it really quiet...guess ill have to mount to the concrete with rubber isolators as well...has anyone built a sound proof box? or is this a bad idea due to air circulation?
